I apologize for the delay

This will my last post of the year. I been a little busy. Doing a couple of small projects. Plus a couple of gallery talks. I don't go further to that info. Don't want to jinx myself. Things are coming up for me. But at end of the day got stay hungry and patient. I'm doing some small pieces just for fun. I want to do a lot of work as possible. I get the habit of slaking off in between finishing the work and starting it. Well that about it. I hope you a merry Christmas and hope to see you at the bar for happy new year:{

Hey Guys,

I was either slacking off or taking a month off. I say taking a month off. During my month off, I was doing some research to finding a freelance job. I think a have enough work to show to clients. That or getting into an illustration agency. It rough, but so is life. Especially for a African-American like me. I'm not looking at it as an excuses or being a racists. It is what it is, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna to give up. I'm find way get into field. No matter how long it takes. Anyway I design a new business card. Upgrade from the original. Not only trying to produced it as card but as a sicker. I'm also doing a three piece love story. Two small and a large one. It's typical guy meets gal, fall in love, have a kid and live in a house on a field. That all kids. Still on the grind. Nobody is gonna to tell you, that mountain very high. Besides people in it for themselves. "Just do you, Screw them :{"

Hey Guys,

Long time no see. I've been doing some research on vinyl toy industry. Don't get me wrong, I'll still doing illustration. Actually I'm doing couple of commissions. At the same time I want interested in making vinyl toys. I wanted to be apart from my illustrations. I see a couple of artist make their work and make the toy based on their work. That not my cup of tea. Make sure lookout for my first vinyl.It a custom munny. I have a lot of learn to make vinyl of my own. And don't mind doing that:{

I hope you guys are having a great happy New Year so far. Cause I am:{ I had to put current work that I posted on hold. I just got another commission and I need the financial support. It is a two part piece that deals with those schoolboy crush days. I give the further details on my new section on my website. It be called behind traditional. I will show you a piece I'm starting on. Then Tell you about the piece. It will be replaced the digital section. I try doing digital. It would take a long time to master this tool. Plus Everybody loves my traditional work. So I'm still on the grind, making moves, and so to be staring shows. Shhhh:{-

It been a long time....Let me explain

Hey Gang,

It been been a long time since I post any work. I have been fed up with my 9to5. Not only personal work never get done,but It been a roadblock for me. Especially when there's opportunities for me because, people are noticing my work. So I decided to quit my 9 to 5, pursued my career in illustration. People always tell that economy to getting bad. But the media always have an excuse of reason why this country is mess. up. Still there is no excuse for me to pursued my career. A career i think i will be doing for rest of my life. Acclaimed illustrator LeSean Thomas once said There "food" for everybody. You got have to go for it. If it means taking risk of of quiting my 9 to 5, so beat it. Don't worry, I will have enough money to paid those common bills. Now that I got away, I will finally give more updates on upcoming shows and my work...literally.

A Tiny Revamp

Gallery Roundup

Well the show was a huge surprise for me. I was getting a lot of buzz, met a lot of great people, and out the last three weekends at the show, I sold two works. I will give more info about that, on my next post. Here my update on my current work. I really had a hard time at first. Trying to place dove in this piece. I notice that the third dove on the right, is a little to big. I thinking of downsizing it. Join me next time when, I revamp my website and tell you which works were sold.

I Had A Show.....But I'll Be Back

Last week I had a show at the Lyons Wier Gallery in New York. The show is called "Art Bazaar". It held every weekend, and I was fortunate to be part. Here is the catch. There was huge line in front of the gallery. The first 18 people out that huge line, get to post their work in that gallery. I was the tenth person out of the 18. I get there on Saturday at 5:45 am. Even through the show starts at noon. Talk about grueling. Other than that, the show was pretty good. I got to communicate with other artist, learn ropes about the gallery field, and the most important thing, I get to put one knoch under my belt. I'll do this again, two weeks from now. It's getting more competitive than ever (getting in line that is). Hope to see you soon. When mean I hope, I mean it.

Here what I have done so far. I started painting the whole background. Then the cracks of the wall and the sledgehammer. I didn't like lips that i did. So I just put white ink over it. I'll figure that out later. Stay tuned for part 3 of "Lil Jon Henry".

Hey gang sorry for the delay. I just did two new illustrations. It should be posted on my website, so check it out. Without further adieu, I will show you how I produce my work. Now here's the first of my process. In this piece in titled "lIl Jon Henry", this is done on pen and ink on bristol paper on top of Masonite board. I just recently it spray over with crystal clear spray and glaze it with gloss medium. Stay tuned to see another procedure to this illustration.
